The Class of 1960 Library Endowment
The members of the Canton High School Class of 1960 have led the way in supporting their alma mater by establishing an endowment fund through the Canton Golden Bear Education Foundation to provide funds to the Hugh C. Williams Library, now and in the future.
The Canton High School Class of 1960 recently celebrated their 50th reunion.  The class has pledged more than $25,000 to the Foundation to purchase materials for the high school library.  A check for $7,500 was presented by class president Chuck Lytle to Evan Poole, CGBEF president, with superintendent Bill Gregory, Board of Education president Barbara Beekman, and high school librarian Kelly Wilson looking on.  These funds are immediately available for new aquisitions. The remainder of the donation will be held in an endowment fund for future purchases.  Members of the class continue to contribute to the fund to support the high school library.
